Antenatal Course
An informative midwife led course
Our antenatal classes are led by a qualified and practising midwife and allow parents the opportunity to form a local support group. Registration is required.
TOPICS COVERED:

Birth plans, labour, normal birth options

Abnormal birth C/section, forceps, ventouse delivery, pain relief

Medication in pregnancy and advice on taking folic acid, role of health visitors and the red book
• There will also be time available for Q&As
• Going home with baby, breast feeding and its benefits, safe sleeping
• Other subjects include formula feeding and sterilisation techniques, vaccination

Postnatal Group
A drop in group for parents with young babies
The postnatal group is run by qualified and/or experienced volunteers such as retired health visitors, ex midwives, breastfeeding counsellors etc. The group is an informal group that offers a social opportunity for parents, as well as an opportunity to weigh their babies. Should other needs arise, parents are sign posted for additional support.
No booking is required, just turn up any Tuesday!

Baby & Toddler Group
Led by experienced early years volunteers
Our baby & toddler group combines messy and sensory play for children between about 9 months and 5 years old. Weeks are themed and each week provides different activities for the children. This group is run by volunteers with early years experience.
